Discover the laughs and joy improv comedy brings to the soul in a super-fun, 2 hour free workshop. Learn how to think on your feet, increase confidence, and build characters on stage. It’s a great way to test the waters and discover the H2g style. Open to those brand new to Held2gether.

Join H2g Musical Director Scott Saegesser for the ultimate – a day of creating our own holiday songs! No singing expertise necessary, just a joyful spirit and previous improv experience. This will the first and last time these new classics are ever heard.

IMPROV FOUNDATIONS

In this introductory class, we’ll explore the foundations of successful improvisation: agreement, collaboration and commitment. These skills enhance listening and play, while creating a strong foundation for improv comedy scenes. Emphasis on a supportive environment for creativity and building confidence!

We’ll end with a showcase on the last night of class for family, friends and fellow classmates. Class size limited.  Ages 18 & up.

NARRATIVE IMPROV & PERFORMANCE

This class focuses on long-form narratives in improvisation.  We’ll be playing as an ensemble to organically establish a coherent story with a protagonist, plot, growth and development of character, and a climax.  We’re essentially creating unscripted improvised plays from start to finish.  You’ll learn the foundation, then apply it to two different genres, culminating in a performance on March 7th!  For intermediate to advanced improvisers.
