This workshop focuses on developing your attention onto your scene partner, particularly at the very start of scenes.
There will be scene work practice with side-coaching to:
- Boost your listening
- Engage with emotion
- Bring your authentic self to scenes
- Focus on the relationship dynamic
- Encouraging you to consider why this moment matters, what are the stakes, “today’s the day” and “how do you feel”.
About Emma Bird
With over 30 years experience as actor/director, Emma has performed in various theatre, TV and film productions. She has been improvising since 2007 and trained with leading improv professionals across the world. Emma created Liverpool Comedy Improv in 2015, an improv school in Liverpool, UK. She has founded, developed, performed and directed four improv teams: Currently performing with Boss Birds Improv (Liverpool’s first all women team); and duo team Moses & Bird.
